With a highly experienced Northern lights specialist on the team, we are greatly placed to advise on all things Northern lights.

We offer Fantastic options for couples, groups and families. With the ability to tailor make your trip, we can include accommodation and excursions that you won't find in the regular brochures! From glass igloos, traditional Scandinvian lodges, five star hotels, spa resorts and more, we have something for everyone. We offer many different tour options, recommending the North of Finland and Sweden as fantastic choices to view the Northern lights on a tour based trip.

The aurora borealis shines over a body of water

The Northern lights are on the bucket list of many, once you've experienced the phenomenon, you will never forget and you may even become what's know as a 'Auora Hunter' with an addiction for searching for the Northern lights!

The Northern lights can be seen from September to March, but through experience, we recommend November to February when the polar nights are in full swing. With so many options to choose from, it’s difficult to know where to start, if it's all about the Northern lights, we recommend Northern Finland or Northern Sweden. Trips can include as many or as little additional activities as you wish. Take a husky sledge, a reindeer sleigh ride, take part in adrenaline sports, try a snow mobile ride, learn to ski, visit the one and only Ice hotel, so much to choose from.

The aurora borealis is dancing in the night sky over a snowy field.

For a short get away, why not visit Tromso, the Northern lights city capital, one of the only cities close enough to the Arctic circle where the Aurora can be visible.

Iceland is another fantastic choice, this incredible, beautiful destination has so much to offer, we recommend at least five nights, to truly experience this mesmerising country. Stay in the capital in Reykjavik, take a tour out into the wilderness to experience the Northern lights. During the day time, experience the wonderful beauty of Iceland and it's many breathtaking spots of pure beauty. Referred to as the Land of Fire and Ice, the name alone, gives you an idea of the extreme diverse landscapes.

Already a Northern lights junkie? Thought you'd been there done that?

The aurora borealis is visible over an igloo in the snow.

Experienced hunters should take a look at the one and only Svalbard! Situated above Northern Norway, as close as possible to the Arctic circle lies the little tiny island of Svalbard. It's colder for longer and provides an intense extreme climate suitable for adrenaline junkies looking for adventure. Svalbard is the only area of Europe where you may be lucky enough to spot a polar bear! It's a place like no other, deep into the Arctic with a deep Arctic culture to match! Definitely not for the faint hearted and not for Arctic beginners!

Northern lights cruises are growing increasingly popular. Fantastic option, particularly if you suffer with restricted mobility. A Nordic cruise will offer a fantastic overview of Scandanavia, showing you various countries along the way.

It is also possible to visit Svalbard by cruise, for a taster into the worlds most Northerly inhabited destination!

One of the worlds best kept secret, Greenland. Sadly, those who hold Greenland on their bucket list, should endeavour to prioritise this amazing, unique destination. We don't know how much longer Greenland will look the way it does now. Due to climate change, it is expected that Greenland will eventually lose their famous glaciers, possibly destroying some of the inhabited villages along the way. It is the Glaciers that contribute to Greenland's beauty and charm, without them, Greenland would never look or function in the same way. There is no better time to experience this breathtaking destination, while you still can.

We can offer hundreds of different options to see the Northern lights. We recognise the importance of expert advice on these unique and unknown destinations, we will help you make the best decisions to ensure you’re fulfilling those bucket list dreams. We are far from ordinary, we love nothing more than you get you away to the worlds most remote destinations, off the map and not in the guide books!
